Search Eastern Shore Regional Jail Inmates

Eastern Shore Regional Jail is the regional jail serving Northampton County and Accomack County on Virginia's Eastern Shore. People look up inmates at Eastern Shore Regional Jail after local arrests, court remands, and short sentenced custody, but the county research did not locate an official public jail roster form. Current custody checks therefore use the jail contact path, Virginia VINE, public-records requests, and court records. Sentenced state inmates and federal or immigration detainees belong in separate locator systems.

Look Up Eastern Shore Regional Jail Inmates

No official public Eastern Shore Regional Jail roster form was found in the county research. The local lookup path is therefore a custody-confirmation workflow. Start with the jail or Sheriff's Office contact route for current local custody, then use VINE or VINELink for custody-status notifications. Use the Northampton County FOIA page for non-current booking records or booking photographs, and direct jail requests to the Sheriff as the county instructs.

  1. Confirm the person was arrested in Northampton County or Accomack County and may be in Eastern Shore Regional Jail.
  2. Call the Sheriff's Office main number or dispatch contact path and ask how to confirm current jail custody.
  3. Use VINELink Virginia or VINE phone service for custody status and notifications.
  4. Search Virginia court systems for the formal charges filed after the arrest.
  5. Use VADOC, BOP, or ICE if the person has moved to state, federal, or immigration custody.

The Northampton County inmate records page separates those custody systems in more detail. The key facility point is simple: Eastern Shore Regional Jail is the local jail stage, not a VADOC prison, BOP prison, or ICE detention center.

Inmates set up their own accounts and send invitations to family or visitors, and visitors fund the HomeWAV system. Funds placed in an inmate account cannot be released until release and will not be transferred to another inmate or to the public. Upon release, funds are returned by debit card. Commissary orders are placed Wednesday night and distributed when received at the jail.

Eastern Shore Regional Jail Booking

The county page gives several local booking facts. When an inmate is arrested or brought from court, all money is deposited into the inmate's commissary account. When booked, the inmate receives an inmate ID number and a telephone PIN number, which are needed for the Paytel phone system. Personal property cannot be brought in after booking. Clothing such as t-shirts, underwear, or shoes must be ordered through commissary.

Housing and classification details are not published as a full intake manual, but the visitation schedule shows that inmates are assigned to blocks or dorms such as A-Block, A-Dorm, B-Dorm, D-Block, C-Block, and B-Block. The on-site Magistrate's Office also makes the jail important for first-appearance and bond questions after a local arrest.

Eastern Shore Regional Jail Programs

The county re-entry program page says the Sheriff's Office offers a fresh start for inmates at Eastern Shore Regional Jail through cognitive programming. Courses include Thinking for a Change, substance abuse, anger management, GED, and family reunification. The program is directed by Chaplain K. F. Jones, with Deputy Clark Lovelady listed as program facilitator.

Release preparation may include GED, DMV ID, a federal bonding letter, a certificate of incarceration, and class certificates. The facility also has medical, kitchen, laundry, and administrative services. The county says all main interior and exterior areas are monitored by security cameras, and control rooms can manage housing-unit doors, lights, cameras, telephones, and televisions.
